I live in the capital city, Topeka! I have 3 wonderful pets: my rescue girls Pearl, (AKA Pearl Girl), Emmy (AKA Emmeline, EM) who came from Mid-America Boston Terrier Rescue and my new puppy, Dottie (born 9/22/24). Pearl is a 9 1/2 year old Boston Terrier, and Emmy is 1 1/2! (You may be noticing a theme by now:) I grew up on a farm with a plethora of animals; cats, dogs, cows, horses, & reptiles, which fostered a love for all animals in me from a very young age. My son, husband and grandkids frequently call me the "dog & cat whisperer" due to my strong sense of dog & cat intuitiveness!
Professionally, I hold a Master's Degree in Educational Technology and a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I have taught many online college courses for Baker U & FSCC, have served as an Instructional Facilitator, technology coach, classroom teacher and hold certificates in Early Childhood, Online teaching and Reading Recovery. My husband is admin for special needs classes {autism, ED, Sped} & behavior specialist for a local school district. I recently retired (2022), so I have ample time to help with your sweet babies!
